Container Movers
Moving containers are provided by a
number of different Container movers. This list includes a number of
companies including: U-Pack®, Door To Door®, UNITS®, BoxCart®, Smart Move®, Container Rental® and Pack &
Ride®. Since this is a relatively new market niche, we will briefly
explore each of these container movers by reviewing their background their offerings:
U-Pack®
U-Pack is a division of
ABF. It offers the rental of either an empty trailer or a
storage container it calls a Relocube. The trailer is 28 feet
long, 8 feet wide, and 9 feet high and comes equipped with complimentary loading ramps. The good news is you can load it up as much as you want and you pay only
for the space you use on the trailer.
Their moving container option or Relocube
is roughly 6 feet long, 8 feet high, and 7 feet wide.
These sizes are good because they can fit
within a single parking space and its height is 8 feet tall which means you can walk right in without fear of
having to hit your head or banging it against the top of the container. For these reasons, these are ideally suited for medium sized moves and if larger
move is needed, you can simply order another moving container.
Door To
Door®
Door To Door offers moving containers in
the size of 8 feet long, 5 feet wide, and 7 feet high. They state this
size will accommodate a room and a half of furniture and their storage containers are also designed for
moves. These containers are ideally suited for placement on apartment
parking spaces, streets, and uneven surfaces.
Go Smart
Move®
Go Smart Move offers storage containers
in the size of 6'9 x 5'11 x 6'11. This compact design is designed to
compete with the smaller to medium sized moves. Go Smart Move also
offers GPS tracking on its moving containers so you know where they are in transport. In addition, it gives you free up to $10,000 in insurance coverage on each of the
moving containers.
Although this is not a full list of all
the container movers, it gives you a good idea of what services and products you can expect. By keeping this information in mind, you should be able to find the right
container movers for your next move
or remodeling project.
